This document provides information about a stage play competition called "Jaagrukta" being held at Genesis 2014. The competition aims to use stage plays to raise awareness about social issues. Teams from business schools can register by submitting a 800-word description of their concept and theme by November 16th. Selected teams will perform their 15-minute plays at the event on November 21st, with minimal props allowed. The top two performances will receive prize money of Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively.

1. Jaagrukta (Stage play) Team ANTAR
Brief Description: Since time immemorial a Stage Play has acted as a platform to entertain and has gained the attention of the audience and society at large. It acts a stage where the performers go out and express their emotions by portraying various characters bound by a thread of story. The same stage can be used as a medium where primary objective is to fulfill the purpose of being an agent of social reform by creating awareness. Here at FORE we understand and appreciate the great importance of this art form and offer one of the best and the biggest stage Jaagrukta @ Genesis 2014for the performers from the B- schools all over India to showcase their skill and talent. Detailed Description:
EVENT FORMAT
Round 1:
All the registered teams will have to mail a write up about the concept of the play, the social cause being addressed and the reason why the team has chosen the particular theme at antar@fsm.ac.in
The document should be neatly typed in 12 point, Times New Roman in a maximum of 800 words and sent latest by 12 midnight on 16th November 2014.
The cover page should clearly mention the team name, college name, number of team members, name, e-mail ID and contact number of 2 members in the team.
The file should be in PDF format and should be named as Team Name_College Name
Final Round: Time limit for each team: 13+2 min
2. RULES AND GUIDELINES
The maximum number of participants allowed in a team is 15.
All students in a team must be from the same college.
One student can be a part of only one team.
There is no limit on the number of teams participating from a specific institute.
Each member of the teams selected for the final round will have to produce their ID cards on the day of the event to be eligible to participate.
Teams will have to choose a theme for the street play which should be based on a social cause.
The time limit for each street play will be 15 minutes. A warning bell will be given after
13mins and the final bell at 15mins. [Flexible]
No objectionable matter (any dialogue or any sequence) will be presented. If any, team will be disqualified immediately.
Teams are free to conduct the play in following languages: Hindi, English or Bilingual.
Minimal Props should be used. Participants will be allowed to set up their sets within time limit of 3 minutes.
Decision of the judges will be final and binding.
Time line and Venues:
Registration Open: 31st October 2014.
Registration Closed: 16th November 2014.
Final round date: 21st November 2014, (First day of Genesis) after inauguration.
Prizes:
Prizes worth Rs. 15,000 for the first position
Prizes worth Rs. 10,000 for the second position
