Makoto Takizawa is currently a full professor of Advanced Sciences, Hosei University, Tokyo, Japan.
Founder and steering committee chair of IEEE AINA (International Conf. on Advanced Information Networking). General co-chair (2002, Vienna) and program co-chair (1998, Amsterdam) of IEEE ICDCS.
IEEE Board of Governors (2003-2008). IPSJ (Information Processing Society of Japan) Fellow.
Visiting professor of GMD-IPSI(Fraunhofer)(1989-1990), Keele Univ., England (1989-), and X'idian Univ., China (2004-2005).
Research interests: distributed systems, group communication protocols, digital ecosystems, fault-tolerant systems, multimedia distributed systems, and information security.
