Manfred Rott, Austrian and living in Paris since 2002 studied at FAMU in Prague between 2005 and 2006, then participated at the Berlinale Talent Campus 2007.
He debuted as screenwriter and director with his short film Bacchanal (2006). With his second film, Utopies (finished in 2011) he won the awards for best shortfilm at the Sicilia Queer Filmfest in Palermo (2012) as well at the Festival de CinegailesAST in Gijon, Spain (2011).
He currently works on the screenplay for his next shortfilm and on a feature-lenght screenplay.
