The circulatory system moves blood through the heart and around the body using veins and arteries to provide nutrients and oxygen to the entire body. The heart has four parts and is the central organ that pumps blood through the arteries which carry oxygenated blood away from the heart, while veins carry deoxygenated blood back to the heart.
