Marcos d'Ávila Nunes, is Associate Professor at University of São Paulo (USP), SP, Brazil. Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto / USP, in 1967. He did postgraduate studies in Advanced Theoretical Physics at the School of Engineering of São Carlos / USP, for the period 1968/69. He received his title of Doctor of Science and Associate Professor from Institute of Biomedical Sciences / USP in 1972 and 1977, respectively.
