My greatest accomplishment, besides being a mother, is to have won the Elementary Social Studies Teacher of the Year in November in 2009. I have always loved to travel and learn about cultures. I am passionate about introducing young students to a global education. I believe that integrating social studies with literacy is the way to engage students and encourage them to reach every high expectation with rigor and fun.
I have been married for 34 years. We have two beautiful adopted children. Joanna is 28, Daniel is 23. My children have made my life whole.
I retired from teaching in June, 2011, after teaching elementary school in the Brookline Public School system for over 33 years.
