After my training in NL-EN-IT translation at the University of Amsterdam I spent a year in London, studying at the Laban Centre of Movement and Dance. I then moved to Milan, where I worked for the European School of Oncology at the National Cancer Institute. Subsequently I became a freelance translator, although I continued working for ESO as the technical editor of their monograph series. I translate (mostly medical texts) from Italian and English into English and Dutch and work as a copyeditor for three English-language medical journals published in Italy (specialties: oncology, nephrology, nutritional therapy).
