I am originally from Marion, Iowa. I graduated from Marion High School in 1981. I went to a small community college in Cedar Rapids. Then I joined the military for electronics. I was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1988. After the military I started a small computer repair and education business. In 1995 I met my soon to be wife, Tracy. In 1997 Tracy and I got married. In 2002 my tech support job for McLeodUSA was outsourced to another country and I was out of a job. My family moved to Janesville, WI at this time, as my wife found a job at Mercy Health Systems and I found a job managing a bowling center here in Janesville.
