Mark Harding served in the British Army within 1st Battalion Duke of Lancaster's Regiment with the Reconnaissance Sniper Platoon for 16 years. And has served on Operations in Bosnia, Kosovo, Skopje, Northern Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan. On his tour of duty of Afghanistan the Reconnaissance platoon was deployed early to Afghanistan. His call sign went out the afternoon of the 28th May to secure an IED only 300meters away from the platoon base. once the IED was secured
Things soon went wrong in a spilt second in Mark Four man team there was three men wounded. And that fatal words rang out!!!! MAN DOWN MAN DOWN!!!
