Marcio Pimenta, brazilian, is a freelance photojournalist, documentary and travel photographer, based in Curitiba (Brazil). Working on assignment and commission for international NGOs and corporate clients. He graduate in Economics Science from Universidade Salvador in 2000 with PhD in American Studies (not completed) from Universidad de Santiago de Chile and has since traveled extensively documenting immigration, indigenous causes, slave labor, culture, humanitarian crisis, political instability and social issues in South America.
His work has been published by National Geographic (Brazil), The Guardian, Rolling Stone (Brazil), El Pa铆s (Brazil), Roads and Kingdoms among others.
