My research interest is mostly in genetics of adaptation, both in the natural environment and in the controlled conditions such as lab-adapted systems. My training as a population geneticist began during my Master thesis where I studied genetic diversity and conservation of the indigenous sheep breed in Croatia. I further continued my training doing an internship in basic evolutionary biology where I studied genetics of adaptation from standing genetic variation in lab adapted Drosophila melanogaster populations.
