The lesson plan is for a 10th grade class with the main aim being for students to be able to talk about activities they have done. It includes subsidiary aims of building vocabulary about places and activities, and practicing the present perfect tense. The plan outlines potential problems and solutions, language functions, lesson stages including warm up, reading, exercises, and a writing activity.

Aims MAIN AIM By the end of the lesson students will be able to talk about the activities they have done. SUBSIDIARY AIMS To talk about the places they have (not) visited. To build up vocabulary about places or activities during vacation. To ilustrated the present perfect form on timelines. PERSONAL AIM To foster colaborative work. To give clear instructions before individual and group work.
ANTICIPATED PROBLEM POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS Students might not remember the past participle of the verbs I´ll prepare a matching game to review and practice the past participle of verbs. Students may not be familiar with some vocabulary ( places, cities and activities) I´ll give student a list of places, cities or activities to be represented by drawing or pictures Students may not be concentrated during the class I´ll plan varietied activities to involve students in the class Students might get confused with the use of already and yet. I´ll give students some worksheets where they have to filling the blanks.
Language Description 1. Use: Talk about trips, places and cities visited. Describe the experiences they have and haven´t had using already and yet. Ask and answer yes-no questions. 2. Exponent: Where have you gone on vacation? - I have already gone to Acapulco . What places has your mother visited on vacation? - My mother has visited Cartagena and the zoo Have you ever traveled by plane? - No, I haven´t traveled by plane yet.

Stages of the lesson 1. WARM UP: - Show some pictures about different places, cities and activities to see if they recognize them.( 5 min ) - Ask questions using some models e.g. Have you ever traveled by plane? What places have you visited on vacation?( 5 min ) 2. Reading a text about sports .( 15 min ) 3. Revise and extend vocabulary.( 15min ) 4. Trio work: Answer some questions about the text.( 30 min ) 5. Peer correction: Ask and answer the reading comprehension questions to check if they are good or wrong.(15 min) 6. Explain the grammar focus about the present perfect , use of already- yet and yes- no questions.( 30 min ) 7. Identify the statements with present perfect in the text.( 15 min)
8. In pairs complete some sentences with the verbs in parenthesis.( 30 min ) 9. Pronunciation: e and ed endings and the past participle of irregular verbs.(15 min) 10.Listen to the following statements and answer true or false .( 15 min ) 11. Write your own description about your last vacation, following the model in the activity 2 and share it with the whole class. (50 min)
