Dr. Maurice F. McMillion, Ph.D.
Dr. Maurice McMillion was born and raised in the city of New Orleans, La. He is the son of the late Eylinda McMillion, and Alton G. Colar. Dr. McMillion accepted Christ and was called to the gospel ministry at the age of twelve, at the First Pilgrim Baptist Church Of New Orleans, La. It was under the leadership of Dr. Eugene Mitchell at this church that he also became licensed. After serving there for eight years Dr. McMillion was led to the First African Baptist Church of the 6th District, where he served under the spiritual leadership of Dr. Moses S. Gordon II.
