As a kid, I recall my grandfather telling me that 99% of what you will learn in life is only worthwhile if you use it for the good of others. I was born in Springfield, Ohio and grew up during the turbulent 1960s. I attended the local Catholic schools. I studied Piano Performance at Wittenberg University School of Music. Later, I studied sociology and social work at Wright State University in Dayton Ohio. During the 1980s, while living in Ann Arbor, Michigan, I worked as a Data Analysis/Project Manager for the FBI Bureau of Justice Statistics at the University of Michigan Institute for Political and Social Research.
