I was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. Grew up in Nyhavn, and later Virum. Left home at 17 to go to boarding school (United World College of the Atlantic in Wales), and returned to Denmark after that and one semester at University of Leeds. Left for Los Angeles in 1996 after I got rejected from the Danish National Film School, went to AFI as a Producer, started my business right out of school and have lived here ever since...Founded the Young Storytellers Program in 1997, and I am an adjunct Professor at USC's school of Film and Television.
