Marcirio Silveira Chaves holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Lisbon. He made his doctorate in Linguateca and research unit LaSIGE, XLDB team. In April 2012, he was Visiting Professor at the University of Barcelona, where he taught a workshop titled "A Fine-Grained Analysis of User-Generated Content to Support Decision Making" in the framework of the Erasmus teacher mobility for teaching assignments. He was also researcher at the Institute of Scientific and Technological Research of Universidade Atl?ntica and Assistant Professor at the same university from October 2009 to January 2013.
