  • #4: One of the counter attacks from Israel was aimed at a radar station on the coast of Hurghada. On Febr. 6th 1970 a squadron of Phantom and Mirage III fighter/bombers attacked this station. As the mine-sweeper was at anchor in the port she made a good target of opportunity the crew did hold off the fighters for as long as they could but eventually the ship was hit and sunk coming to rest on her port side
