Dr. Morgan DeFoort is the CEO and co-founder of Factor(E) Ventures, as well as a Research Fellow and former Director of the Energy Institute at Colorado State University. Morgan received his B.A in Physics from Hastings College and his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University. In his R&D career, Morgan has managed over $15M in sponsored research, primarily in emissions control for industrial engines, advanced ignition systems, biofuels, biomass combustion, and technology for sustainable development. Morgan also is experienced in early stage technology and venture development, working for CSU Ventures (the Universities tech-transfer office) and participating in the c.
