The Art of Merrill - Merrill is a fine-artist, a portrait-artist, photographer and an illustrator. His art is spirit and emotion embodied. For this Chicago grown artist, sensuality, as well as spirituality (not religion), is part of the total human condition that is underrepresented in art by people of color. At the age of 6, Merrill started to realize his God-giving gift, and has been developing it ever since. The artist continued to sharpen his skills during his years at Morehouse College (1990-1994), and his years at The American Academy of Art (1994-1996), in Chicago. Now residing in Atlanta, Merrill is gifted with the ability to arouse one's mind, body, and soul (spirit). On his canvas,
