- 15. CLIENT: CHALLENGE: KDM is asked to step up to plate on a monthly bases for our partner Pep Boys to produce their P.O.P. campaigns for 635 stores. SOLUTION: KDM continually meets demanding turn-times on their complex P.O.P. kits on a monthly basis utilizing our complete in- house manufacturing flexibility. The kits include various ceiling signs, mobiles and danglers, aisle violators, gondola headers, floor and window graphics, and various freestanding P.O.P.
- 16. CLIENT: CHALLENGE: Family Dollar was undergoing a completely new storewide merchandising offering with new categories and end caps to promote lower value priced items. The over-haul required the roll-out of a new store plan-o-gram. SOLUTION: KDM took on our greatest challenge to date that required the coordination and expertise of three of our divisions/locations. We printed over 200 elements per 484 store locations. Then our Retail division went to work on the intricate heat bending and finishing of the end caps, while our Plastic fabrication division provided the finishing on all the aisle markers. KDM kitted all the elements, approximately 99,000 including hardware, and shipped to the stores. We coordinated the roll-out with a 3rd party installation crew.
- 17. CLIENT: CHALLENGE: The in-store beverage displays roll-out required constant and urgent requests from the client and KDM was called upon to react. Components of the kits were still being added even as we were packing out the kits!" SOLUTION: Our Creative Team assisted with the engineering of some of the more complicated features and created a last minute plan-o-gram. We blended all the individual elements so that once displayed they all matched in color. We printed and produced the display items, kitted and shipped to more than 2,900 locations. The P.O.P. kits included a variety of elements for account specific store layouts with 16 unique ship lists. The bulk being 1,500 of the same kit. KDM delivered the kits to bottlers across the country to be displayed in SuperValu, Bigg's, Kroger, Shop 'n Save, Cub, Shaws, Jewel and Albertsons grocery stores.

- 21. CLIENT: CHALLENGE: Carls Jr has an aggressive growth strategy for the international segment of their business. They wanted menuboard kits for new store openings that were of equal quality to those of their domestic units. SOLUTION: KDM leveraged our fast-turn capabilities to produce high quality menuboard graphics and collateral materials for new international markets in Russia, Costa Rica, Canada, Ecuador and China, amongst others. We simplified the clients supply chain by removing international vendors from the equation, maintained quality and cost effectiveness.

CLIENT: CHALLENGE: 100+ convenience store chain required new store fixtures to outfit their many locations across the U.S. SOLUTION: KDM manufactured the counters and cabinetry for multiple store fixtures including the hot coffee bars, checkouts, cash wrap, restrooms and more. All fixtures were manufactured with wood and laminates consistent with the overall store design.
- 27. CLIENT: CHALLENGE: Marsh Supermarket had dated store d辿cor. KDM was asked to design a refreshing update that coincided with their the Marketplace look and feel. SOLUTION: The remodel concept was to create a store within a store for their fresh market type perishable items. The project was all encompassing to include interior design and d辿cor, fabrication of store fixtures and architectural details, such as column wraps, awnings, way finding and permanent signage and wall murals. Today, KDM manages ongoing store openings and remodels for Marsh.
- 28. CLIENT: CHALLENGE: Deveroes is a retailer of urban clothing and hip hop gear. KDM was asked to design and manufacture all store fixtures and wall systems for all departments. SOLUTION: To support this retailer with their conservative banner implementation and manage budgets, 1-5 stores were manufactured at a time and warehoused until the required ship/install date. Working directly with Deveroes installation company, KDM ensured proper installation by holding a review with the installation company prior to shipping and attended all installs. KDM is now the single-source provider for fixtures for all Deveroes new and retrofit stores.
- 29. CLIENT: CHALLENGE: Blue Chip wanted to rebrand and create a more elite bakery style format, offering baked goods, gelato, coffee and soups and sandwiches. SOLUTION: KDM Retail developed a concept which included, stemming from the logo and company vision, all fixtures, countertops, d辿cor, graphics and finishes. Floor, wall treatments and lighting were also included. Upon approval, three prototype stores were manufactured and installed by KDM. Blue Chip Gourmet has plans for rollout in Europe and the United States over the next two years.

CLIENT: CHALLENGE: Eatn Park wanted to upgrade the look of their famous cookies display in various restaurant locations across the U.S. SOLUTION: With KDMs end-to-end capabilities, a custom design was provided and the two- sided display was manufactured using wood, metal and acrylic The display required a permanent header to establish brand ownership and a seasonal graphic change-out panel to keep the unit looking fresh. The display was rolled out in 2 formats to the various locations.

CLIENT: CHALLENGE: KDM was asked to provide a number of concepts for a four-sided, durable display that would offer easy flexibility for various Walmart vendor product plan-o-grams and graphic change-outs. SOLUTION: Several concepts were presented, the final unit was value-engineered for economical rollout and a prototype was made. The unit consists of powder-coated metal, wood and graphic insert panels. Future rollout of 2500 displays are in development.

- 39. CLIENT: CHALLENGE: KDM was asked to come up with a solution in response to their high theft problems on items such as OTC drugs, razors and other personal care items. SOLUTION: KDM designed and produced 20 different gondola shelving displays. Each part holds a tear pad of various sized product vouchers. The order was for 8,400 kits with 20 unique parts each, equating to 171,000 custom parts manufactured of clear PETG. The consumer simply brings the voucher to the checkout to redeem their actual secured product. The program has been a huge success.

SOLUTION: Using our proprietary software we call INTELLITRAK, our in-house programmers developed an online ordering program unique to them. Approximately 1000 Authorized and Premium Retailers have access to the online program and are given marketing co-op dollars to purchase their in-store branded products.
