I grew up in Akron, Ohio. I started my life on 712 McKinley Ave on the east side and moved to 1151 Ackley St. Akron, Ohio in the 4th grade. My Dad worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber and bought our home close to the factory so he could walk to work. Our house was the neighborhood hangout. I played football & basketball every chance I could get. Most football games were played between telephone pole and telephone pole. I had to be home when the street lights came on. We lived in a blue collar neighborhood & I grew up thinking everybody lived life like we did.
