i smile when i wake up

 i don't care
if my radio plays all night and that i could
play a song over and over again just
because you remembered someone

i don't like hair
in the bathroom sink and never step
my wet feet onto a clean rug

I will answer my phone
but don't talk too long 
and I could do
rub your toes and make faces
while you talk

I can get up at three and make sandwiches
and orange juice and tell jokes
i sometimes make incoherent sentences
and i smile when you wake up

I cry when hurt
and try not to curse when angry
and try when i don't feel
like it and smile at you
when you wake up
