Current Research:
Exploring the geometry of memory: Understanding the representation and storage of biological memory
Previous Research:
A biophysicist with crystallography training who worked on the structure of the membrane peptide channel antibiotic during the Ph.D and subsequently worked on mammalian virus structures and the tRNAAsp - tRNAAsp synthetase complex.
At MKU my group was working on the structural bioinformatics and structural biology of outer membrane porins, prophage proteins and proteins that aggregate such as human protein Myocilin that causes eye disease. We are the only group to have determined membrane protein structures from India.
