I sometimes like to imagine myself in my own anime or manga!!!! All of my friends know I'm into anime. A lot of my friends are as well so we talk about it and the other group of my friends that really isn't into it don't have any problems with it or anything like that. I think the only reason a person could be ashamed is if your being put down by people who don't understand what it is (essentially people who think anime is Hentai or just kids shows).
