I walk alone,
Amidst the bright sunshine
To admire life in all its cognate variations,
And exude the brighter side,
Rising above the depressions and the deprivations
To be enthralled with myself, riding against the tide
There is nothing to detest,
Nor any longing to take rest
For life goes on, without a hitch
With or without a pretext
A desire does creep in,
To have a hand close enough,
To help me to sleep, after the day is done
And enrich me with hope, tomorrow
To fortify that has not been won.
But desires remain desires,
