Andrea Antonello graduated in Environmental and Territorial Engineering at the University of Trento and gained his PhD at the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Urbino by developing GIS modules for digital field mapping. Specialized in software development, he gained his first professional experience at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Trento working on projects for the development of applications in a GIS framework. He coordinates the Open Source JGrass project, and is a member of both the Project Steering Committee of Udig and the OpenMI Association Technical Committee.
