I am still the bookworm you knew in high school,
hiding behind the pages of a book,
my love of books has earned me a Bachelor's Degree,
but degrees aren't everything, the heart is what people see,
I am all heart, love, kindness, passion, broken when I get burned,
Time heals any pain, life is full of lessons I have learned.
