Dr. El-Naas is QAFCO Chair Professor in Chemical Process Engineering at Qatar University, with expertise in biotechnology, bioreactors and membrane separation. His research interests also include CO2 capture and sequestration; electrocoagulation; water purification ; and plasma technology. Most of his recent research work focuses on the development of new, environmental friendly processes for the Oil and Gas industry. He has recently developed a patent-pending bioreactor system for the biodegradation of BTEX.
