My basic background is in Physics, as I hold a BSc Degree from Universiti Malaya, class of 1977. In 1978 I did a Diploma in Education, and started out as a High School teacher in 1979 in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. In 1985 I left to join Sapura Holdings Sdn Bhd, and my last position there was Senior Marketing Manager in Uniphone Card Division, the people who used to come out with all those UniphoneKad phone cards. I left in 1995 to join the ARL Group, owned by Tan Sri Abdul Razak Latiff. Am still with this ARL Global Group of companies, involved in private power generation, fuel oil management, equestrian management etc.
