I had the great pleasure of working in the A&R Pop/Rock Department of Sony Entertainment under David Massey, Evan Lipschutz and David Gray assisting in them in finding new music and helping with other office duties. I went on from there to go to work for Jive Records under the Hip-Hop and R&B A&R Department under Jeff Sledge, my primary role was to listen to the incoming demos, handle getting the expenses together and some other office duties. But I knew there was so much more to learn. I took a job with Eric Beall as his personal assistant for about 2 years.
