I have research expertise in online/digital journalism, news consumption and citizenship (inc. citizen journalism), science journalism, the use/misuse of data and statistics in the media, and news and development in a globalising world. I have authored two books and about 40 journal articles, book chapters and industry reports - as well as edited/co-edited one book and three special journal issues - in these areas.
