Above all job titles, I would categorise myself as a ‘designer’, mostly because my thinking process more closely resembles that of a designer. A good designer is an effective researcher because a solution must resolve the right problem. The art is getting to the right problem, defining it and understanding it. Then, with constraints applied (could be costs, time, audience accessibility, technology), getting creative and innovative about how to get the best outcome.
