Nithin is currently a research engineer at the Information Retrieval and Data Science lab at USC; founded and headed by Dr. Chris Mattmann. He works on applying machine learning to big data problems like traffic prediction, recommender systems, content analysis and text mining. As part of academia; he has worked on applying data science to diverse domains including sports, earth sciences, social good, traffic and e-commerce. As part of industry; he has worked in building products across domains like online payments, video streaming, peer to peer lending, big data analytics and social networking. His master's thesis is on exploring privacy in the context of large geo-social networks.
