一群幻灯片爱好者（制作者、传发者）中的北京老年网友（年长者八十多岁，年轻者六十多岁），出于对网络技术和幻灯片技术的共同爱好和追求，走到一起来了。去年5月14日，七位网友在航天大院张继庆学长家中进行了首次聚会；去年9月29日，十六位网友在金汉斯餐厅进行了第二次聚会；今年5月25日，二十二位网友又在金汉斯进行了第三次聚会。一年来，一次次的聚会，说明我们的网友队伍在不断壮大，网络技术在不断提高，网络佳作和网盘网站在不断涌现，网友们的生活日益丰富多彩。在这第三次聚会上，出席了几位八十多岁的老年网友和在各行业取得骄人业绩的一大批网友精英。大家在一起倾谈、交流，既增进了友谊，也增长了网络技术。 “拍拍手”是PPS的音译，取老顽童童心未泯，老年拍友（摄影爱好者）拍手（鼓掌）相聚之意。我们之间没有职务高低之分，没有成就大小之别，没有年龄长幼之尊，没有贡献多少之序，我们有的只是网络技术的交流和友谊的慰藉。我们也不管行业、学历和资历，能者为师，先会为师，互相学习，互相帮助。我们只是一群快乐潇洒的老顽童。
