About
I was born in 1960 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I attended the University of Calgary in Geophysics and worked in the oil industry for 31 years. Since 1997 I ran my own consulting business (geophysical data management & technical support) and started my glass studio from my home in Calgary until 2008 when I moved to Batavia, NY.
In 2008 I attended the American School of Craft at RIT in Rochester, NY to work towards her BFA in Glass. I am now co-owner and operator, alongside my husband, Lance Taylor, of OATKA School of Glass & Glass Studio in Batavia, NY.
The school/studio is comprised of 12,000 square feet of warehouse space. They also have an 1825 house and property in Le Roy, NY
