Windows 8 and Windows RT allow developers to build apps using the Windows Runtime API and target multiple device families. The Windows Runtime API is native and supports C++, C#, and JavaScript projects. It provides features like platform strings, WinRT components, type conversions, and asynchrony. While the Windows Runtime API is largely shared between Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8, some APIs are only supported on one platform while others have been adapted or added for the phone. Resources and registration information is provided for Ukrainian developers to begin building apps.
