Orphan Care is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting, developing and funding The Al-Amal School for Somali Orphans.
The Al-Amal School serves boys and girls ages four to sixteen. The primary focus is teaching Quran and Islamic Studies. At present our nutritional services are limited to once a week. The goal is to provide one nutritious meal per day, inshAllah. Lastly, Orphan Care supports the annual initiative of purchasing new clothing for each child as an Eid gift.
There are currently two operational locations of the Al-Amal School. QoriLugud is a rural village near Burcao and the city of Buuhoodleh. Each school has about 50 orphans and employs Hafiz Quran teachers. Further
