This document summarizes a presentation on serious gaming and gamification given at TNO, a Dutch research organization. The presentation introduced TNO and its work in serious gaming and gamification. It provided examples of how gaming elements can be used to motivate behavior change. Attendees then worked in groups to design a gamification for one of several societal challenges, developing personas, missions, and gamified solutions. The presentation encouraged further discussion with the presenters on applying serious gaming and gamification.

Editor's Notes
#3: We are learners. All through life, we learn a lot. Something in obvious ways, by studying for exams, and sometimes in more intruiging ways. My name is Ottilie, and I learned the alphabet by dropping the letterbox time after time, causing me to sort the alphabet over and over again.
#4: Some things are absolutely unnecessary, but put a smile on your face while you do it. My name is Arjanna, and I am addicted to doodling / I still enjoy not stepping on the lines when walking on the pavement
#5: We face huge societal challenges, that can be solved by influencing behaviour of individuals. My name is Hester, and since I earn money avoiding traffic hours, I am using all my creative power to avoid traveling to work between 8 and 10
#14: Papierhier, can catcher blikvanger = eye catcher
