The Miami
Seaquarium is

38-acre
(15 ha) oceanarium located on the island of Virginia Key,
Founded in 1955, it is the oldest oceanarium in the United
States. In addition to marine mammals, the Miami Seaquarium
houses fish, sharks, sea turtles, birds, reptiles, and manatees.
The park offers daily presentations and hosts overnight
camps, events for boy scouts, and group programs. Over
500,000 people visit the facility annually.
6. American Airlines
Arena
TheAmericanAirlines Arenais a sports and
entertainmentarenalocatedinDowntownMiami,Itwas
constructed beginning in 1998 as a replacement for
theMiamiArena.
The Arena is home to theMiami Heatof theNational
BasketballAssociation.
8. Miami Art Museum
It was founded in 1984 as the Center for
the Fine Arts, and in 1996 became the
Miami Art Museum.
The MAM receives over 60,000 visitors a
year.
