I spent the '08-'09 school year teaching music in the Blue Springs School District. The next 2 years, I was a para in the Shawnee Mission School District, working in self-contained early childhood classrooms and supporting resource teachers and special needs students mainstreamed in the regular elementary classroom. I thoroughly enjoyed working with special needs kids and recently completed my Master's in adaptive/high-incidence special education at KU. I currently have the unique privilege of working in both music and special education. My husband and I have been married for 4 years and have completely renovated our 4-bdr. house in Raytown.
