I have been involved in the service and manufacturing industries, building a large organisation in the 1990's which employed 17,500 staff, manufacturing chemicals and exporting worldwide. Following a semi-retirement I decided to keep my hand in with the sales and distribution of chemicals but in 2000 I fell foul of a middle east importer and was left with a substantial debt. For the next 4 years I fought hard to save my business and my assets, however, in the latter part of 2004 I lost my family home through repossession.
