Sammo Hung underwent grueling martial arts training from a young age, living at the Peking Opera Academy where he trained for 19 hours a day. He began working as a stuntman in his teens and worked on films starring Bruce Lee, being the last person to fight Bruce Lee onscreen. Sammo worked his way up from stuntman to action choreographer and eventually began directing his own films, becoming a star in his own right in the 1980s with his films popular across Asia and in Chinese communities overseas. Sammo Hung is a versatile actor, respected fight choreographer and director known for his amazing physical skills despite his appearance.
