Phil Wilkinson, Executive Manager of the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH), gave a presentation at the NABERS/CBD conference in June 2018 about the future of HVAC. He discussed how the HVAC industry needs to collaborate to address systemic issues and transition to a low-emissions future in order to stimulate jobs growth and showcase HVAC innovations in buildings. Wilkinson emphasized the importance of lining up efforts and working together towards these goals.

It focuses on the opportunity for MRSC to take a strong leadership role in behaviour change to Make Cycling the Norm in the Macedon Ranges and to create a recognised active tourism destination.
The views expressed in this submission are the result of over 12 years of engagement with residents buying and donating second hand bikes, consultation with local cycling groups and Victorian and Australian cycling associations.

Australian cities and urban areas face more challenges than ever before. A growing and increasingly urbanised population is putting increased pressure on cities, infrastructure and the housing sector. How can our built environment handle these demands, as well as dealing with climate change and emergency events like natural disasters and extremist acts?
The answer lies in urban resilience: the capacity of individuals, communities, institutions, businesses and systems within a city to survive, adapt and grow no matter what kind of stresses and shocks they may experience.
The Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council (ASBEC) has released a set of fact sheets on urban resilience for three segments:
Cities Population growth is providing challenges in managing demands on available space, transporting people and goods, and keeping communities safe, cohesive, fulfilled and happy.
Infrastructure Maintaining and expanding the critical infrastructure that provides Australians with high-quality utilities, transport, healthcare and other essential services will require significant investment from governments.
Housing Available, affordable housing with access to employment, services and facilities is a major issue.
The Chair of ASBECs Resilience Task Group, Adrian Piani said the fact sheets were designed for organisations involved in the planning, design, delivery and operation of the built environment.
ASBECs aim is to help built environment sector professionals embed resilience thinking into their decision-making, and begin a discussion with stakeholders and supply chains. Mr Piani said.
The fact sheets were developed by the ASBEC Resilience Task Group in collaboration with specialist resilience advisers from integrated infrastructure firm, AECOM.
Each fact sheet provides a series of questions organisations can work through, said Kieran Power, AECOM Senior Consultant Sustainability and Resilience.
They provide a practical way for organisations to self-assess and gain an understanding of what resilience means to them and the projects they deliver.
ASBEC President Prof Ken Maher noted this initiative is part of ASBECs focus on community wellbeing and a more sustainable future.
By understanding the principles of urban resilience, organisations can discover opportunities to contribute to a better quality of life for Australians. said Prof Maher.
Urban resilience is not just about dealing with problems it improves the wellbeing of communities by enhancing economic, environmental and social outcomes. It is a model for good times as well as bad.

Red blood cell (RBC) indices measure your red blood cells' size, shape, and quality. Red blood cells are also known as erythrocytes. They are made in your bone marrow (the spongy tissue inside your large bones). They contain hemoglobin, an iron-rich protein in your red blood cells that carries oxygen from your lungs to every cell in your body. Your cells need oxygen to grow, reproduce, and make energy.
Knowing the size and shape of your red blood cells can help your provider determine if you have a certain type of anemia, a condition in which your body does not make enough healthy red blood cells. There are four types of red blood cell indices:
Mean corpuscular volume (MCV), which measures the average size of your red blood cells.
Mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), which measures the average amount of hemoglobin in a single red blood cell.
Mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), which measures how concentrated (close together) the hemoglobin is in your red blood cells. It also includes a calculation of the size and volume of your red blood cells.
Red cell distribution width (RDW), which measures differences in the volume and size of your red blood cells. Healthy red blood cells are usually about the same size.
If one or more of these indices are not normal, it may mean you have some type of anemia.

What are they used for?
Red blood cell (RBC) indices are part of a complete blood count, a group of tests that measures the number and type of cells in your blood. The results of RBC indices are used to diagnose different types of anemia. There are several types of anemia, and each type has a different effect on the size, shape, and/or quality of red blood cells.
Why do I need red blood cell indices testing?
You may get this test as part of a complete blood count, which is often included in a routine checkup. You may also need this test if you have symptoms of anemia, which may include:
Shortness of breath
Weakness or fatigue
Headache
Dizziness
Arrhythmia (a problem with the rate or rhythm of your heartbeat)
Pale skin
Cold hands and feet
What happens during a red blood cell indices test?
A health care professional will take a blood sample from a vein in your arm, using a small needle. After the needle is inserted, a small amount of blood will be collected into a test tube or vial. You may feel a little sting when the needle goes in or out. This test usually takes less than five minutes.
Will I need to do anything to prepare for these tests?
You don't need any special preparations for a red blood cell (RBC) indices test.
Are there any risks to these tests?
There is very little risk to having a blood test. There may be slight pain or bruising at the spot where the needle was put in, but most symptoms go away quickly.
What do the results mean?
You will get results for each of the indices. Abnormal results may include one or more of the following:

Red blood cell (RBC) indices measure your red blood cells' size, shape, and quality. Red blood cells are also known as erythrocytes. They are made in your bone marrow (the spongy tissue inside your large bones). They contain hemoglobin, an iron-rich protein in your red blood cells that carries oxygen from your lungs to every cell in your body. Your cells need oxygen to grow, reproduce, and make energy.
Knowing the size and shape of your red blood cells can help your provider determine if you have a certain type of anemia, a condition in which your body does not make enough healthy red blood cells. There are four types of red blood cell indices:
Mean corpuscular volume (MCV), which measures the average size of your red blood cells.
Mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), which measures the average amount of hemoglobin in a single red blood cell.
Mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), which measures how concentrated (close together) the hemoglobin is in your red blood cells. It also includes a calculation of the size and volume of your red blood cells.
Red cell distribution width (RDW), which measures differences in the volume and size of your red blood cells. Healthy red blood cells are usually about the same size.
If one or more of these indices are not normal, it may mean you have some type of anemia.

What are they used for?
Red blood cell (RBC) indices are part of a complete blood count, a group of tests that measures the number and type of cells in your blood. The results of RBC indices are used to diagnose different types of anemia. There are several types of anemia, and each type has a different effect on the size, shape, and/or quality of red blood cells.
Why do I need red blood cell indices testing?
You may get this test as part of a complete blood count, which is often included in a routine checkup. You may also need this test if you have symptoms of anemia, which may include:
Shortness of breath
Weakness or fatigue
Headache
Dizziness
Arrhythmia (a problem with the rate or rhythm of your heartbeat)
Pale skin
Cold hands and feet
What happens during a red blood cell indices test?
A health care professional will take a blood sample from a vein in your arm, using a small needle. After the needle is inserted, a small amount of blood will be collected into a test tube or vial. You may feel a little sting when the needle goes in or out. This test usually takes less than five minutes.
Will I need to do anything to prepare for these tests?
You don't need any special preparations for a red blood cell (RBC) indices test.
Are there any risks to these tests?
There is very little risk to having a blood test. There may be slight pain or bruising at the spot where the needle was put in, but most symptoms go away quickly.
What do the results mean?
You will get results for each of the indices. Abnormal results may include one or more of the following:

Satoshi Nakamoto is not a person, Satoshi Nakamoto is a partnership of two individuals.
The partners have a formal written partnership agreement which governs the activities of the partnership.
The term Satoshi Nakamoto is actually a portmanteau of the individual pseudonyms of the two partners.
Satoshi is the pseudonym of Natasha, the maternal aunt of Vitalik Buterin and former cryptologist at the CSE's Tutte Institute for Mathematics and Computing. However, she's still a member of Canada's national security and intelligence community.
Nakamoto is the pseudonym of Anastasia, the younger sister of former Edmonton police officer Elena Sinelnikova.
The two partners can verify all of this via cryptographic proof employing either the bitcoin genesis block address or the bitcoin block 9 address. The latter being the address that was used to pay 10btc to Hal Finney on January 12, 2009.
