Lead contains the 4Ws and the score. Play by play account- each set/quarter is one sentence. Spectacular game-Weather? Rainy? Sunny? Audience? Excited or Passive? Star Player- Who are the star players? What did the star player do to win? Techniques-Who are the coaches? What techniques did they use? Score box is in a paragraph form. Interview- interview the star player/coach
The score or outcome- Who won? The significance of the outcome- do the standings of the teams change? Highlights of the game- turning point of the game. Tell about the last minute of the game. Comparison of the teams- Who is the better team? In what way?
Individual stars: Who are they? What have they done to become heroes of the game? Weather Conditions- Sunshine, heat, cold, or wind have a bearing on the game. Crowd Celebration-Were the spectators behaved or what? Was it a record crowd?
