My research topic is mainly focused on biodiversity and restoration ecology in agro-ecosystems. Modern agricultural practices in the past few decades had got a very strong impact on biodiversity on species previously common in arable fields. Countries of the European Union, Norway and Switzerland had implemented since the nineties some agri-environmental programmes to first mitigate, and then restore biodiversity in agricultural landscape. But the results of the few studies about the implementation of these policies show only moderate effects.
