If You Can't Change Something, Change the Way You Think About It----This pearl of wisdom can surprisingly be used in any situation or problem that concerns me. This is especially useful for me when I find myself being frustrated or angry at another person, or at a predicament I find myself in.
I need to take a breath and just allow myself to feel whatever emotion it is that I'm experiencing at the time. Then I analyze it, to see if I can begin to have a different feeling about the situation.
So, if I'm angry at someone, I just look at it in a way that takes away my anger. This allows me to accept any of the blame that may fall on my own shoulders.
