The document proposes three locations for shooting a music video: 1) A harbor for establishing shots that connect to the song's lyrics and theme of peacefulness. 2) Looking through a train window to illustrate an emotional journey of leaving the past. 3) An empty indoor car park that creates a sense of loneliness through its large empty space and vertical lighting.

Locations of Filming
1. The harbour shall be a perfect location for close up/long shots of the harbour
itself, water and my actor in this location. These types of shots are often used in
the genre of acoustic music videos because they connote peacefulness the
natural environment and also help to clearly establish the setting of the music
video. This location shall also be extremely fitting for my chosen song which is
called 'The Boat' so this quite clearly is linking visuals with the lyrics which is
one of Goodwin's principles.
2. I think another effective location for a few short shots would be looking
through a train/car window. I have chosen this as a location to film because
the idea of looking through the window as it is travelling represents leaving
the old and moving towards the future and also it could illustrate the
emotional journey that the artist is singing about. This shall also be a very
visually exciting shot for the viewer.
3. I have access to an unused indoor car park. I think that this shall make
an interesting location as the vertical bar lighting creates a very large
space and with it being empty shall be very effective for a scene
where the actor is standing there alone, showing the loneliness that
the song portrays about himself.
4. I shall also use the location of a small bedroom for some of the scenes.
Before filming I shall organise the room to look very basic without many
belongings apart from a few ‘reminder objects’ of his past love who he is
singing about in the song.
