I am especially concerned with the comparison and transition of economic systems, beyond and within system boundaries. Currently I am particular interested in institutional preconditions of socio-ecological transition, mainly on the urban level, the role of common resource pools within different systems of local governance as well as the role of local labour markets and diversity for successful socio-ecological transition on the local level.
