I'm a retired United States Air Force Chief Master Sergeant with 21 years as a German and Bulgarian Linguist, Intelligence Analyst, and Intelligence Operations Supervisor. I spent most of that time in Berlin. I was there when the Berlin Wall fell in 1989. That essentially ended my military career, since there wasn't really a need for East German intelligence specialists once East Germany went away. So I retired with a masters degree in psychology and went into a doctoral program in psychology right after that. Alas, I never got my Ph.D., solely for the lack of a completed dissertation, although I have to say that failing to get something I wanted so badly ended up giving me something I ne
