I'm a PhD. in physics by Universidade de São Paulo, specialized in bayesian modelling and maximum entropy methods. Through my academic life I worked in mathematical models and techniques for problems ranging from semiconductor physics, financial markets, economics, behavioural finance and sociology. On the private sector I've been working as a data scientist, applying techniques from machine learning, bayesian statistics and information retrieval to solve problems like complex record linkage, analysis of user behaviour, and recommender systems.
